The 9th overall pick in the 2009 draft out of Westminster High School, Jacob escalated quickly through the Tigers minor league system. Promoted to AAA just a year after his senior high school season, Jacob made his Major League debut in July of 2011 at just 20 years of age. Traded by the Tigers to the Marlins in the July 2013 trade which sent Anibal Sanchez and Omar Infante to the Tigers, Jacob is currently pitching in the White Sox organization.
